Welcome to Tech Night!  
I am so glad that you came to learn about the technology that your child uses in our classroom!  It makes learning so engaging and fun. Please take the information from tonight and let your children use technology in your home.

Activities

Many of our classmates are involved in activities outside of school. What do you do outside or school and what would you like to do? 

Animal Adaptations

Animals adapt to their surroundings in order to survive.  Without adaptations, animals could fall prey to other animals, they might now have enough food or other bad things might happen to them. Play this game: Animal Adaptations THEN--Comment by listing 2 animals found in the game and how they adapt to survive their environment.

Natural Bridge and the Monacan Village

On Tuesday, Oct. 16 our class visited Natural Bridge, Virginia.  We saw the old bridge as well as visited the Monacan Indian Village and the Butterfly house.  It was a wonderful learning experience. Enjoy these pictures from our day! 

Art Show- Highlander Festival

This past Saturday was the Highlander Festival at RU. Many of you went to the festival or were in the parade. There was art work that you did on display for a contest. Look at the picture below that shows the art displayed.  Which do you like the best and why? What makes it the best? Congratulate your classmates for their wonderful art.

Virginia had many Indian groups that lived here before the Europeans came. 
The tribes spoke different languages.
